US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, plus 2.500 women from all over Poland will attend a congress in Warsaw to celebrate women’s role in the transformations in the country since the end of communism in 1989.
The congress will be part of a two day visit to Poland for the Secretary of State, on 20 and 21 June.
The women's congress will be held under the mottos “Women for Poland” and “100% men’s pay and 50% participation in power”. Others attending will be Danuta Walesa and the current First Lady, Maria Kaczynska.
One of the co-organizers of the event is former First Lady Jolanta Kwaśniewska, who, apart from saying that, “behind every successful man is a woman”, explained that the congress was a way to express pride in the twenty years of transformation in Poland and the great role that women have played.
