One person was killed and another hurt when a car collided with an elk on the no.61 road last night between the city of Łomża and the locality of Stawiska, eastern Poland.

The crash killed the 46-year-old passenger of the car, while the 29 year-old driver was taken to hospital with injuries. Police report that the animal walked out into the road in front of the car. (ek)
