A 32-year old woman, her 3-year old son and an 18-month old baby have been diagnosed with the A H1N1 swine flu virus.

There have now been 13 cases of the virus detected in Poland.

The 32-year old woman and her son returned from the United States to the Balice-Krakow on the June 14 on a Lufthansa flight LH3332 via Munich. The baby, from another family, is thought to have contracted the decease from the other two.

“All three are under medical care at an infectious diseases ward in Cieszyn [southern Poland]. Their state of health is relatively good,” said Anna Armatys from the local epidemiological services.

At the weekend, a 12 year old boy in Rzeszow was found to have contracted the virus. (jn/pg)
