  • 28.07.2009

Władysław Stasiak, the newly appointed head of the Presidential Chancellery said, Monday, that he would like Poles to see the real face President Kaczynski, who has a clear vision for Poland.

Stasiak replaces Piotr Kownacki, who was dismissed by President Kaczynski after an interview appeared in the Dziennik newspaper in which he was critical of the head of state.

The new chief of the Presidential Chancellery stressed that his new appointment bears enormous responsibility and that it is a mission which he will try to carry out to the best of his abilities.

"We have much work to do with many projects and plans ahead of us which are important as far as the functioning of our country and social life here is concerned,” Stasiak said. “I will try to support [Kaczynski] as much as I can and make sure that the whole Chancellery follows suit".

In January 2008, Wladyslaw Stasiak held the post of deputy head of the President's Chancellery and was the Minister of Interior and Administration in the Law and Justice-led government from 2005 till 2006 when he was appointed to head the National Security Bureau. (di/pg)
