Nurses in a hospital in Radom, central Poland, are in the third day of a protest demanding higher wages.
The hospital’s nurses and midwives declare that they will not start work unless their appeals are fulfilled.
There are some 220 patients in the hospital, and the striking nurses admit that their situation may become very difficult since the protest may lead to the evacuation of the patients.
The hospital in Radom is the largest in the region, admitting patients also from neighboring provinces. (adb/mmj)
