A Vietnamese speed demon was arrested in Paczkowa, southwestern Poland, for driving at a speed of 218 km/h and breaking various driving laws.

The ‘road pirate,’ as such drivers are known colloquially in Polish press, is a 34-year-old resident of Warsaw and drove a black Audi A6. The man received a fine of 500 zloty (about 120 euro) and 10 points against his driving license.

A video radar clocked the driver in at 90 km/h, prompting police attention. When the chase was on, the car sped up to a speed of 218 kilometres per hour.

Several days ago, a Swedish citizen was caught driving a black Porsche at 216 km/h on the A4 national highway. (mmj)
