• Farfal to be evicted from TVP offices?
  • 25.09.2009
Boguslaw Szwedo, acting president of the state-own television station TVP, has filed a motion to remove Piotr Farfal, deposed president, from the company’s headquarters.

Szwedo wants the District Court in Warsaw to issue an eviction order for Farfal as the former president has continued to occupy the office of the president since he was sacked earlier this week.

Farfal has not allow any member of the newly appointed managing board to enter TVP’s headquartes in Woronicza Street, Warsaw.

The court has a week to announce its ruling.

The battle over who will control TVP has been going on for months. On 16 September, the Supervisory Board dismissed Piotr Farfal and elected a new managing board. However, the deposed president did not let the new president Boguslaw Szwedo and the managing board members in and continues occupying the building, claiming that the new authorities were elected illegally.
