  • 25.09.2009

The District Court in the northern city of Wloclawek is holding a trial for ‘murder on commission’ in which a whole family was involved.

At the end of 2008, a 45-year-old man was stabbed to death. His wife is suspected of having commissioned the murder and two of his children of having found hit men among their acquaintances who committed the crime.

The woman allegedly paid 15,000 zloty (3,500 euro) for the murder. The suspected reason for killing the husband was domestic violence. The crime victim was said to have abused his family physically and psychologically. However, relatives of the man do not confirm this version of the story.

The wife and children of the murdered man, one of whom is under age, may face life imprisonment. (mg/mmj)
