The spokesman of the Central Anticorruption Bureau has resigned following the announcement of his supervisor’s dismissal.
Temistokles Brodowski, spokesman of the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA), decided to resign after Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced he would dismiss the head of CBA Mariusz Kaminski.
Brodowski’s post will be temporarily taken by Malgorzata Matuszak.
A week ago, as a result of the Blackjack scandal, PM Donald Tusk opened a dismissal procedure to remove Mariusz Kaminski from his post for overstepping his powers and for carrying out politically-motivated behaviour. The decision was supported by parliamentary and governmental commissions on security services. Now, the move awaits President Lech Kaczynski’s approval. (mg/mmj)
