- Warsaw University in flu panic
- 03.11.2009
The Dean of the Institute of Applied Linguistics at the University of Warsaw called off classes, Tuesday, after 15 students showed flu symptoms.
The students had just come back from Ukraine, where an as yet undiagnosed flu-like illness has killed over 70 people.
“[The students] were observed with flu-like symptoms and sent home. Two out of fifteen students are staying at a dorm. Sanitary inspectors are trying to reach the rest of them," said Tomasz Misztal from the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate.
Classes at the Institute of Applied Linguistics will be resumed on 8 November. (mg)
