- Gdynia welcomes French Naval ship
- 08.11.2009
The visiting French naval vessel “Commandant Blaison” has opened its deck to the public in Gdynia.
Navy enthusiasts can admire the warship at close distance, have a look on board and get acquainted with the specifics of service in French forces, as the ship opened Saturday in the Baltic city port, for tourists.
The visit of the FNS “Commandant Blaison” in Gdynia is another in a series of events of cooperation between the Polish Navy and French naval forces. Ships of both fleets often participate in joint sea operations and in international exercises under NATO auspices and within the Peace Partnership project.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk, accompanied by six ministers from the government, spent Wednesday in Paris at top-level meetings with French President Nicolas Sarkozy and others to strengthen French-Polish political, economic and social relations. (ss/mmj)
