- Miner dies in Silesia

A thirty five year-old miner has died in the ‘Marcel’ colliery in Radlin, Silesia, after he had been hit by a lump of coal.
The accident occurred around midnight, at a depth of 400 metres. The man was married, with one child.
He is the 35th victim of accidents in Polish mining this year. In the most serious of them, two months ago, twenty miners died as a result of a gas explosion. Twenty four miners have suffered serious injuries in accidents this year. (mk)
