- Fog grounds planes in Warsaw
- 22.11.2009
Heavy fog has paralyzed Warsaw's Okecie International Airport – flights are late and not taking off until further notice.
The weather conditions have worsened throughout the night and the current visibility at the airport is 270 metres.
“No a single plane is landing. The situation should stabilize within 1-2 hours,” says Kamil Wnuk, airport spokesman, adding that “planes can only take off.”
Thick fog descended upon the whole country overnight and police and officials are calling for extreme caution when driving as there is low visibility. (mmj)
