The bodies of two climbers were found on Wednesday in the region of the Czerwone Wierchy ridge in the western Tatra Mountains.

The bodies have been transported by helicopter to Zakopane, southern Poland.

The men failed to return to their rented lodgings last night after setting off for a day’s climbing, Tuesday, in what were atrocious conditions.

Rescuers have appealed for caution when planning a climbing expedition and not to overestimate ones own abilities. (pg)
