Parliament has passed a new, more restrictive law on drunk driving in Poland.
According to the new regulations, an intoxicated driver who causes a fatal accident may lose their driving licence for ever. Those who are caught driving under the influence of alcohol more than once will be sentenced from three months to five years in prison.
MPs also decided to establish a fund for the victims of car accidents. The victims will be able to get professional psychological, social and legal aid. (mg)
