The city of Tarnow today holds the main celebrations of the 13th Judaism Day.
In the Catholic Church, this is to be a special day of prayer and reflection on the relations between Jews and Christians, and discovering the roots of Christianity.
In the words of Polish Episcopate representative Father Jozef Kloch, Judaism Day in Poland is one of the realizations of the road to reconciliation between Catholics and Jews.
The celebrations in Tarnow end tonight with a concert by Azi Schwartz, a cantor from Jerusalem, and the presentation of the title of “Man of Reconciliation” to rabbi Alon Goshen-Gottstein, founder and director of the Elijah Interfaith Institute in Jerusalem. (ek)
