Six people died from hypothermia overnight in Poland with schools closing in the south east as freezing weather continues in Poland.
The Government Security Centre indicates says that from 1 November 2009, more than more than 200 people have died from the cold in Poland.
Around 5,000 customers are still without electricity in the south. All roads are passable, but in many places deep snow and slush are making driving conditions difficult.
Due to the low temperatures 30 schools in the Lublin region did not open, Friday. (pg)
