For the first months, one hour programs were all that could be heard daily at 18 hours CET, broadcast live from a makeshift studio located in a southern Warsaw suburb. The power output had been a modest half kilowatt, but the transmissions could be heard even outside Poland.
The first surveys showed an audience of 5,000 listeners.
