Polish Post has commemorated the Winter Olympics in Vancouver with a special philatelic set.

Kamila Rudnik of the Polish Post says that post stamps are a traditional and popular way of honoring sportsmen, saying "Polish Post has been issuing stamps on the occasion of the Olympics since 1964. It's a long tradition. It's a very pretty stamp and envelope set this year."

Polish Post received the "Prix Olimpia" award in 2009 for a stamp issued three years before, on the occasion of the Turin Olympics. (jn/jb)
