Poland’s statistical office (GUS) starts a trial national census, today, which will continue for two months - a rehearsal of the nationwide census that will be held next year.

Head of GUS, Wiesław Łagodziński said that the trial census will be conducted in 16 locations in Poland:

“For 7 days people can fill in the census questionnaire on our webpage, then our officials will start their rounds, collecting the information which we don’t have,” he said.  

The aim of the census is to count the population as well as the number of households. The internet version of the census questionnaire which can be filled out on-line is available on the website of the Main Office of Statistics. (ek/pg)
