Agents from the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBS) have arrested over 40 drug gang members in Warsaw.
The detained men formed the core of a well organized crime ring dealing in the illegal production of amphetamine in Poland and smuggling of heroine, cocaine and marijuana into the country. They all posed as businessmen running their own companies with warehouses and a distribution network in the capital and central regions of Poland.
More than 120 officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation worked on the case and participated in the operation of detaining the gang bosses and members. (ss)
