City guards from the south western city of Wroclaw chased three naked men who across town after they spotted them taking a bathe in the fountain on the main market square.

While routinely checking on images from CCTV cameras installed on the market square in Wroclaw, city guards noticed three men take off their clothes and jump into the fountain.

When the guards arrived at the scene, the men ran for it. stark naked across the square and along the city streets, with the local cops in hot pursuit.

The guards managed to catch up only one of them as the other two made their escape.

The naked bather had more than two per mille of alcohol in his blood but was unable to explain why he decided to take a bath in the fountain.

The man was transported to a sobering-up station and will appear - fully clothed - in court, where he faces a fine of up to 1,500-zloty (363-euro) for his bare-faced cheek. (mg/pg)
