Swiss architect Christian Kerez has revealed his final design for the planned Modern Art Museum in Warsaw.
Architects have praised the design of the long-awaited Modern Art Museum, which is to be built in 2014 in the very centre of Warsaw, next to the Palace of Culture and Science.
The Swiss architect explains that his aim was to create a transparent building.
The Modern Art Museum, spread across 35,000 square metres, will include a spacious exhibition hall, TR Warszawa Theatre, exhibition rooms and lecture rooms which can also be used as a cinema, a library, bookshop and two restaurants.
The cost of the museum is estimated at 270 million zloty (66 million euro) but a complex structure of the building may increase the cost to even half a billion zloty (123 million euro). (mg)
