Civic Platform’s candidate for president Bronislaw Komorowski has announced that if he wins the Sunday election, in the first 500 days of his term the construction of 1000 km of motorways will begin.
In the morning Komorowski was at the construction site of A1 motorway near the northern town of Grudziadz and a bridge across the Vistula River. “Here we can see the modern Poland which we are striving for,” said Komorowski.
Civic Platform’s candidate promised that during the first 500 days of his term the construction of 1000 km of motorways, express ways and local roads and ring roads will begin and added that thanks to the government 1410 km of roads are currently being built.
“The former Law and Justice government threw the project of the A1 motorway in the bin but we managed to save it,” he said. (mg)
