• Poznan tops municipalities ranking

The western city of Poznan is the most attractive municipality in Poland, shows a new ranking.

 

The coastal cities of Sopot and Gdansk came second and third in the ranking respectively. Next followed the western city of Wroclaw, the southern city of Krakow, the northern city of Torun and the central city of Lodz.

 

According to the poll, Mazovia, Pomerania, Lower Silesia and Malopolska are the most attractive regions while Kornik, Lubliniec and Grodzisk Mazowiecki the most attractive small towns. Zabierzow, west of Krakow, was recognized as the best rural borough. None of eastern cities or villages topped the ranking.

 

While compiling the ranking, there were checks made as to the innovation of cities, villages, urban and rural boroughs, how they use the EU subsidies, how they attract investments and care for inhabitants. (mg/jb)
