According to a new survey, voters mislead opinion pollsters in the run up to the presidential elections – sometimes even claiming they would vote for Komorowski while all the while voting for Kaczynski.
As many as 59 percent of Poles say that in the second round of the presidential election they voted for Bronislaw Komorowski, which is 6 percent more than the number of who actually did, shows a survey by CBOS.
Meanwhile, 37 percent of respondents said that they voted for Jaroslaw Kaczynski even though the Law and Justice leader gained 10 percentage points more in the elections.
Not only some Poles tried to hide the fact that they voted for Jaroslaw Kaczynski, but also that they did not participate in the elections. As many as 66 percent of respondents assured they went to the polls to elect a president, while the actual turnout was 11 percentage points lower.
The survey was conducted on 8-14 July among 899 people. (mg)
