• Ruling party way out front in poll
  • 14.08.2010

If the parliamentary elections were held this Sunday, turnout would be nearly 60 percent and the ruling Civic Platform would romp to easy victory by 46.3 percent of the vote to Law and Justice’s 28.3 percent, finds a new poll.

The Homo Homini opinion pollsters found that 12.1 percent of respondents would support the Democratic Left Alliance (SLD). Just 3-4 percent would give their vote to the junior coalition partner, the Polish Peasant’s Party (PSL) - not enough of the share of the vote to get them MPs in parliament.

The survey, commissioned by Polish Radio, was conducted on a sample of 1,075. (pg)
