Twenty two percent of Poles claim to abstain from alcohol, finds a new survey.
The poll by CBOS found that three percent more claim they are teetotal than in a similar survey three years ago.
The survey also confirms what alcohol manufacturers have been saying for years - Poles are turning away from the traditional tipple of a glass of vodka and drink more beer and wine.
Fifty two percent of respondents said they usually drink beer, 21 percent wine , and just 17 percent vodka. (pg)
