• One-in-two Poles pessimistic about future
  • 20.08.2010

Forty seven percent of Poles are not optimistic about the direction their country is going in, finds a new poll.

This is an increase in pessimism of 12 percentage points compared to a similar survey carried out by the CBOS Institute in July.

Thirty five percent of respondents assess the overall domestic situation in positive terms, nine percentage points less than last year.

A similar trend is evident in people’s perception of Poland’s economic situation, which is assessed favorably by only one in every five Poles, with one in every three taking the opposite view. (mk)
