• Government launches ‘highfliers’ web site
  • 24.02.2011

The Polish government has launched a new web site which aims to highlight what they see as Poland’s highfliers and opinion makers.

The blurb says the site “spotlights inspired Polish designers, inventors and savvy entrepreneurs who are pushing the boundaries of business, science and artistic expression”.

But the web site needs a little more work, both in design and content, if it wants to be highflying itself, however.

For instance, one story wonders whether the involvement by the Fómen Design company helped driver Krzysztof Hołowczyc to fifth place in this year’s Dakar rally.

“Hołowczyc and Fortin team were 5th in this year Dakar Rally. Just curious whether it [sic] the magic spell cast by to their designer’s helmets helped? Let’s hope so. These ultra-modern works of art were specially created by one of Polish Highfliers - Paweł Fórmaniak and his Fómen Design company.”

On Polish business, the web site says that, “more than ever before, zealous [sic] businesspeople throughout the country are progressively pushing the envelope and forging new paths for successful local and global businesses.”
