  • 25.03.2011
Sixty nine per cent of Poles believe that the domestic situation in Poland is developing in the wrong direction.

According to a survey by the OBOP Institute, only one in every five Poles is looking with optimism at the overall situation in the country. Every second Pole is expecting a deterioration of his or her material well-being over the next three years.

The optimists are mostly people holding university degrees and students, the inhabitants of large cities and those in their late teens. Most of the pessimists are over fifty years of age and with basic professional qualifications.

Sixty eight percent of Poles think that the country’s economy is in crisis and one in every five respondents describes the crisis as ‘deep’. (mk)
