Three Polish soldiers have been wounded by a roadside explosive device in Ghazni province in the south of Afghanistan - there condition is not serious, say media reports.

The explosion occurred earlier this morning and caused minor damage to the troop’s Rosomak military vehicle.

The wounded were transported by helicopter to a field hospital in Ghazni, where were given medical aid.

It is thought the troops will return to service soon. Poland has around 2,600 soldiers in Afghanistan as part of the ISAF mission. (pg)
