A Polish factory is giving the finishing touches to furniture for a hotel where the wedding guests of Prince William and Kate Middleton will stay.

Yes - we have found the Polish-royal wedding angle!

The furniture is to arrive on the spot on Monday, and Pole Dariusz Bergier and his assistants have been working on the pieces for a month now.

“One is a cabinet, which on the outside looks antique but inside, when you open it, contains state-of-the art systems, with sliding shelves and doors,” he said.

Everything has to be in place by 29 April, the happy couple's big day.

Dariusz Bergier also fondly remembers his assignment for the famous contemporary Polish composer and conductor Krzysztof Penderecki.  (kk/pg)
