As the Royal wedding in the UK approaches on 29 April, Paweł Rozen, a 23 year-old student of Warsaw’s Physical Education Academy, is among the top ten candidates in an international competition to find the best look-a-like of Prince William.

Rozen sent his application into the contest sponsored by the low-cost airlines giant EasyJet.

The short-list of twenty look-a-like candidates – 10 for Prince William’s and 10 for his bride Kate Middleton - have been invited to London for the final selection of the winning pair who will benefit from free EasyJet flights for a year.

The resemblance is indeed striking, although it has been noted that Pawel has considerably more hair than the 28 year-old prince, who has been displaying the characteristic UK royal bald spot of late.

Paweł Rozen majors in tourism and recreation and earns a living as a skiing and yachting instructor, and is a member of the ‘Warszawa’ Folk Dance Ensemble, with which he has made numerous foreign tours.

The media interest in the Royal wedding is considerable in Poland, with live broadcasts of the pomp and ceremony on Friday planned by public broadcaster TVP and private TV stations TVN and Polsat. (pg/mk)
