• President Komorowski has ‘heart disease’?

Bronislaw Komorowski
The latest edition of a right wing magazine claims that President Bronislaw Komorowski has suffered from heart disease for some time, which accounts for a list of slip ups he has been making in public of late.

"For years, Bronislaw Komorowski has suffered from chronic heart disease, [which leads to] impaired consciousness and fainting," claims Gazeta Polska.

The weekly goes on to claim that doctors have also diagnosed the president with diabetes and the beginnings of arteriosclerotic vascular disease, the result of a bad diet.

The president has made a series of gaffs recently, including claiming that Poland’s 1791 3rd May Constitution was “the second modern constitution on the European continent,” when in fact it was the first - something Poles are very proud of.

When the Rzeczpospolita daily asked the Presidential Palace to confirm or deny the reports of Komorowski’s poor health, a spokesman requested that the “question should be out in writing”. (pg)
