- Deputy PM breaks his silence
- 14.02.2007
Deputy PM Ludwik Dorn has issued a statement in which he announces his will to remain a member of the ruling conservative Law and Justice Party (PiS) even if he resigns from the post of deputy PM.
In it he also called media allegations that he wanted to leave the party “completely groundless speculations”.
Following last week’s resignation of Ludwik Dorn from the post of Poland’s Interior Minister, he has asked for a leave in connection with, as he put it, “slander and insinuation” against himself and his colleagues in the media.
Last night one of the private TV stations quoting unofficial sources reported that Dorn will not be returning to the governmental post after his leave is over.
Meanwhile a special government commission has been set up to investigate all the media accusations connected with the case.
