• Opposition Civic Platform in poll lead

Free market orientated Civic Platform, the biggest opposition party in the current parliament, would gain 34 percent of the vote, if elections were held today, says a new poll.

According to the OBOP Institute, the ruling conservative Law and Justice party would come second, with 22 percent of the vote.

A coalition of leftist and democratic parties placed third, with 11 percent.

Expected turnout an early elections would be around 30 percent. Elections are nor scheduled in Poland until 2009.
