• Hungarian president on a visit to Warsaw

Hungarian president Laszlo Solyom has started a three-day visit to Poland.

On the agenda of talks with his Polish counterpart Lech Kaczynski are bilateral relations and European issues, including the Berlin Declaration and the future of the EU constitutional treaty.

Laszlo Solyom will also have discussions with prime minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski and pay visits to the Museum of the 1944 Warsaw Rising and the Eastern European College in Rzeszów, eastern Poland.

Polish president Lech Kaczynski visited Hungary in October 2006 during the events comemmorating the 50th anniversary of the Hungarian Uprising.
