According to a public opinion poll made by GfK Polonia, 67% of Poles favour early elections.

Among those for the elections, people with higher education are prevailing, aged between 50-59.

The answer “No” was chosen by 24% of the respondents, while 9% have no opinion.

The poll was made on 18 July from a sample 500 respondents.

The current political crisis began when vice premier and agricultural minister Andzej Lepper was dismissed from the government on suspicion of being involved in land fraud.

So far both junior coalition parties have remained in the government.
