• Adam Lipiński: I cannot imagine a PO-PiS government

Adam Lipiński, Law and Justice (PiS) Vice-President, when questioned about the elections by the “Rzeczpospolita” daily, said they would take place when it is dead certain that Law and Justice is incapable of maintaining a parliament majority.

“If it really is so [a lack of a parliamentary majority] this means that the only option left that we are willing to accept is the decision to dissolve parliament and hold early elections”, stated Lipiński.

But Liponski dismissed speculation that a possible coalition between Law and Justice and Civic Platform – the two parties with the most support in the country – after those elections are held.

“[O]nly the most gullible could believe in such talks really taking place and a PO-PiS government being formed within this term,” he said. (photo: ICE)
