Five weeks ahead of the general election in Poland, the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party is showing a three point lead in an opinion poll published Monday by PGB pollsters. Thirty three percent said they will be supporting Law and Justice on October 21, while 30 percent gave allegence to their main rival Civic Platform (PO).
In third place is the Left and Democratic (LiD) alliance with 18 percent.
In fourth was the new alliance of two conservative parties, League of Polish Right, which includes Roman Giertych’s League of Polish Families, with seven percent.
The Polish Peasants Party is on five percent.
The opinion poll was taken on the 13th and 14th of September from a sample of 1011 Poles.
