According to a survey by PGB opinion pollsters, high turnout is expected at the election with over 75% Poles declaring that they want to cast their ballots. The recently formed Women’s Party has 3.2% support, higher than many analysts expected. ,
This has moved them ahead of Self-defense 3%, a party in government until a corruption scandal prompted Prime Minister Jaroslaw Kaczynski to remove them from the coalition.
The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) remains the party with most support (34.7%), followed by Civic Platform (PO) with 32.6% and the Left and Democrats (LiD) with 15.8%.
League of Polish families would also manage to get some seats in the new parliament (5.5%), leaving behind the Peasants’ Party (PSL) with only 3.9%.
The survey forecast that in the new parliament after the October 21 ballot 193 seats would be held by Law and Justice (PiS) and 174 by Civic Platform (PO).
The Left and Democrats (LiD) would get 74 seats while League of Polish Families would have 17 MPs.
