A day after the Tusk-Kwasniewski debate, according to an OBOP opinion poll taken Tuesday, support for Law and Justice (PiS) and the Left and Democrats (LiD) is growing, but only slightly. Civic Platform (PO) can count on approximately 43% of the votes, Law and Justice 34%, and the Left and Democrats (LiD) 14%.
The Peasants’ Party (PSL) is supported by 6% of the voters, with the rest of the parties probably not standing much chance of getting into parliament.
As much as 37% of the voters are still undecided as to who to vote for.
The Tusk-Kwasniewski debate on Monday night did not bring about any dramatic changes in Poles’ political preferences. Civic Platform led by Donald Tusk (photo) is still the leader in the election race but the number of its supporters has decreased by 2%.
According to the survey, Law and Justice (PiS) has gained 9 seats, which makes it 162 altogether. This is only 2 MPs short of being able to uphold presidential veto.
The Left and Democrats (LiD) have gained as many as 21 seats, having 64 altogether at present. Support for the Peasants’ Party (PSL) has, on the other hand, decreased significantly, leaving it with only 5 seats in the new parliament.
