Secret archives of the Military Information Services (WSI) – post communist military intelligence outlawed under the Law and Justice rule earlier this year, have been transported by unmarked vans to President Lech Kaczyński’s chancellery.
Three unofficial sources from amongst WSI former employees and officers told the Dziennik daily that the secret operation went on till the very last hours of PiS rule.
The sources claimed that the relocated files contained materials collected by the committee for vetting WSI officers involvement in the illegal and corrupt operations of the secret service.
"They contain everything. From personal files to the records of top secret international operations of the services, as well as personal details of WSI agents in Poland and abroad", one of the sources reveals.
The new deputy premier and minister of the interior and administration Grzegorz Schetyna (PO) told TVN24 television on Sunday morning that the issue of relocation of the secret files to the National Security Office located in the president’s chancellery would be thoroughly investigated.
“That is not a private institution, private documents or private vetting committee”, Schetyna told TVN24.
