• PO gains advantage over PiS

Over a month after general elections in Poland the winning party of Civic Platform (PO) has got a support of 55 percent Poles and former rulers Law and Justice, now in opposition, only 19 percent, a poll by SMG/KRC pollster for the Polish Television reveals.

 

According to the study, also the Polish Peasants Party would get to the parliament with support of 9 percent of voters.

 

The electoral threshold would not be exceeded by the Left Democrats alliance which got only 4 percent of votes.

 

6 percent of the respondents answered that they don’t know who they would vote for and 2 percent declared that they would choose some other formations than those included in the poll. 5 percent refused taking part in the study.

 

If the elections were to take place now, the turnout would be 69 percent. This big was the group that declared participation in elections; 14 percent were undecided. 17 percent said they would not vote at all.

 

SMG/KRC questioned a representative group of 1019 adult Poles.
