• Polish President losing public support

According to a recent poll by the Polish Public Opinion Research Center (CBOS), 56% of respondents assess President Lech Kaczyński’s activities negatively.

 

31% think he is doing good. 13% of respondents have no opinion on this issue.   

 

“Rather bad” was the opinion of 35% of respondents about the President; “definitely bad” was the answer of 21%. 27% asses the President as “rather good”, whereas only 4% as “definitely good”.

 

In comparison to the November poll, the number of positive opinions about the President sank by 11 percentage points, whereas negative opinions rose by 9 percentage points.

87% of PiS supporters have positive opinions about Lech Kaczyński’s activities; Lid and PO supporters are the most critical – 79% and 76% of negative answers respectively.  

 

The Centre also polled the opinions about the activities of the present parliament. 36% chose a negative answer on that issue, 35% a positive, 29% had no opinion.

According to the Centre, the present parliament has a lot better assessment at the beginning than the last two. 

The poll was conducted on 1-4 December, on a representative group of 870 adult Polish citizens. (mo)
