PM Donald Tusk announced that he will meet the head of Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA) Mariusz Kamiński after New Year’s Day.
He did not want to disclose if Kamiński is going to retain his post after the meeting. “A lot depends on the course of the meeting, I’m not a blood thirsty person,” said the PM, but added that he would like to cooperate with a CBA head that would fight corruption, not political opponents.
Tusk said that he had already read Julia Pitera’s report on the activities of CBA and that he is now firmly convinced that the head of CBA should explain why many Poles were under the impression that the Bureau was serving a political party rather than fighting corruption. (mo)
