The Polish Senate is starting a two-day session today, debating bills from the Lower House of Parliament.
Senators are to discuss the amendment to customs service law concerning legal protection of customs officers while performing their duties. The amendment was proposed after customs officers’ strikes in January.
During this session the senators are also to continue work on amendments to local government law. The debate will be devoted to local authorities’ personal property declarations. The initiative concerns regulations, which were questioned by the Constitutional Tribunal last year. (jm)
