The two candidates are current head of the party Wojciech Olejniczak and current secretary general Grzegorz Napieralski.

However, yesterday SLD MP Katarzyna Piekarska announced that if neither of the two received the required majority ot votes for delegates, she is considering running as a candidate herself.

The voting over the leadership is to take place on Saturday and results will be known around 3 p.m. CET.

The positions of secretary general and the vice head of the party will be chosen on Sunday. A debate concerning the party’s policies and programme is also to take place on tomorrow.
