Poland’s PM Donald Tusk is scheduled to meet with the head of the European Parliament, Hans-Gert Pöttering, in Lower Saxony, north-western Germany, today.
The main topics of the meeting are: the situation in Georgia and Ukraine, as well as co-operation within the EU. Additionally, the politicians are set to touch upon climate issues and energy security.
Tusk’s visit to Germany is taking place at Pötterings’ invitation. The Polish PM and the head of the European Parliament are to take part in a public debate devoted to European topics in a school in Bersenbrück. Later on, they are to have a private, closed-door conversation. (jm)
